We were asked to create an invitation for a new fund-raising event, the first “Evening of Science,” hosted by the Science Club at the University of Great Falls. The club’s objective was to build a connection with the local medical and medical research community.
Banik’s creative team developed a direct mail piece that physicians would recognize: a mock x-ray delivered in what appeared to be an inter-office consultation envelope.
The doctors showed up—stat—and their enthusiastic attendance meant success for the event and funding for the fledgling Science Club. The invitation also caught the attention of the design industry, and was featured in the HOW Magazine 2004 International Design Annual, published in the 83rd Art Directors’ Annual, the internationally-recognized Communication Arts Graphic Design Annual, and was awarded Best of Show at the 2003 Northwest Region Ad Federation Awards.
